CT Studd once wrote that we have "only one life, t'will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last", and that's the message I would like to send out as our first article of 2020.
A little over an hour ago, we said goodbye to 2019 here in Saint Augustine, and welcomed in the new year, and the new decade of 2020. The marking of that celebration dovetails perfectly with the celebration of 10 years of Now The End Begins. God is so good, awesome beyond measure. And as I look out in my mind's eye into the coming months of this new year and new decade, the overriding thought in my mind is this the year we who are saved will here "
come up hither!"? It is my fondest and most blessed hope, is it yours also?
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 (KJV)
The pages on our site during just the month of December were viewed in excess of 1,000,000 times, and that thrills my soul to think of the gospel going out in its various forms to all those people, lost and saved, and the myriad ways the Holy Spirit is using it to warn, bless, teach, instruct and prophecy.
"But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." Acts 20:24 (KJV)
CT Studd once wrote that we have "only one life, t'will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last", and that's the message I would like to send out as our first article of 2020. A clarion call to the Church, to the Body of Christ, to make this year one unlike any other. A year to devote ourselves wholly to this mission of ministry, to the reason why Jesus left us here after He saved us. The mission of preaching the gospel of the grace of God to a lost and dying world, in the closing days of the Church Age before the Rapture.
"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:23-25 (KJV)
God has blessed this ministry with a global platform, and placed us in a unique position to reach the world for Jesus Christ. In 2020, the Lord willing, I want to work like never before in the service of the Master, so much so that everything done these past 10 years will seem like they were merely a warmup for this place and time. And I want to be an encouragement to you, and to provoke you 'unto love to good works' so that you will find the calling God has placed on your life.
If you were to die tonight, would you go to Heaven or Hell?
DL Moody once said "The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.” That's the man I want to be in 2020, and I would love for all you who read this to desire the same. If you need King James Bibles and cannot afford them, or need gospel tracts but don't have the money,
send me an email and we will get some out to you free of charge as the Lord provides. If you want to get something done for the Lord, now is the appointed time, don't put it off any longer. We want to be a blessing to you.
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" Titus 2:13 (KJV)
I wish I had the gift of prophecy, for if I did I would love to be able to tell you when the Rapture was going to be, but I can't. I have no idea when it will happen, but what I can do is live like 2020 will be the year it will take place, and be busy about our Father's business each and every day while we wait. Come with me on this journey, it's time.
