Many Christians today are confused about witchcraft, being bombarded with it from all sides, and because most people do not read and/or study the Bible, they remain ignorant.
The decade of the 2010's were actually an incredible time for those of us who believe the Bible and study end times trends and events. During the past ten years we saw an incredible rise in outright satanism, witches and witchcraft, and all manner of things pertaining to the occult. And if you were really paying attention, you saw how many of those things began creeping into the Charismatic and Pentecostal churches as well, but more on that in a bit.
"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer." Deuteronomy 18:10,11 (KJV)
Let's start with the basics. Witchcraft in the Bible is absolutely forbidden under all circumstances and for any reason. Saul consulted the witch of Endor in 1 Samuel 28, and God killed him for it. Witchcraft, fortunetelling, psychics, and all the rest of it are a no-go because they are demonic counterfeits of how God communicates with people. In the Bible we see the practice of 'casting lots' to divine the will of the Lord, think of rolling dice, but it is not something for the Christian in the Church Age. Speaking of that, what is a Christian? Acts 11 has the answer.
"And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." Acts 11:26 (KJV)
The very first time the words 'Christians' plural is used, and indeed the only time, we find it in Acts 11 as you see above. And the disciples were first called that because they were getting organized together as a church body, and actively seeking the Lord's will. They were busy about following Jesus the Christ, and the word 'Christian' singular that we see Acts 26 and 1 Peter 4 meant someone who was following after Jesus Christ. It is not speaking of someone who is simply saved and born again. Remember that getting saved is a one-time event, never to be repeated, but your sanctification is a lifetime event, worked out every day until your death or rapture. You have to work at growing in the Lord. Have you ever met someone who was saved but doesn't do anything for the Lord? I have met lots of those people, and they do not meet the biblical requirements of what a Christian is. Think of it like this. All people who attend school are students, but not all students are graduates. Simply being saved does not automatically make you a Christian, being saved and follow
So back to witchcraft. We have done a few stories lately showing the rapid creep of witchcraft and demonology into our everyday culture. Stories like these:
Everywhere you look in our culture today, you see the New Age, Wicca, witchcraft, satanism and paganism being accepted at the mainstream level. So naturally, since we are in the end times, you would expect to see that also creeping into the church, which we absolutely are. At Bethel Church in Redding, California, they are using
Destiny Cards, a christianized version of Tarot cards. Heidi Baker
imparts demons and casts spells at the same place. Christian yoga is also popping up just about everywhere
at your local Charismatic church as well.

members of the Illuminati and
promote New Age practices to your kids through the music. So, can a Christian also be a witch? Absolutely not.
"And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:19,20 (KJV)
God does not give anyone psychic abilities, but do psychic abilities exist? They sure do, I have personally known people who, before I was saved, told me amazingly accurate details about my future that came true. So there are psychics and fortune tellers, and the Bible forbids it. Can people communicate with the dead? They do make a connection but it's to demons and not to their departed loved ones, but is it real? Yes, it is, but that too is also forbidden in the Bible. You cannot be a witch without engaging with 'familiar spirits', and that is spoken against 18 times in the Bible.
Now you know that no Christian, someone who is saved and following after the Lord Jesus Christ, can also be a witch at the same time. You cannot serve two masters, and you cannot follow two masters because witchcraft and Christianity travel two completely separate paths. If you are a Christian who is also a witch, now would be a good time to repent of it, wash yourself clean in the word of God, and
begin following Jesus Christ. Because as long as you remain in witchcraft, you cannot be a Christian.
