George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789 Giving Thanks To The God Of The Bible Is In Stunning Contrast To The America Of 2019

George Washington thanksgiving proclamation of 1789

The first Thanksgiving was on Thursday the 26th day of November in 1789 as George Washington gave honor, glory, praise and thanks to the Almighty God of the Bible

I find it both ironic and heartbreakingly sad that, as I read the original thanksgiving proclamation of 1789 written by American president George Washington, that the nation he served so faithfully is stand poised to elect its first Socialist president should the Democrats be successful in 2020. And I am not talking about Bernie Sanders, I am talking about any of the Democrats now running for the nomination of their party. Not only have the Democrats become Socialists, they are also decidedly anti-God and anti-Israel.
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." Psalm 9:17 (KJV)
The founding of America has been called the "great experiment", and never before in our nation's history has that experiment been so close to coming to an end. As I write this, a coup is underway by the Democratic Party in Congress right now to attempt to undo the election of 2016 and impeach a duly-elected sitting president. So as you celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, a day set aside by George Washington to thank Almighty God for His blessings to us as a nation, just remember how very close it all is to coming apart. We have become an ungrateful and unthankful nation who has forgotten God, kicked Him out of  our schools and courtrooms, and wonder why we are having such trouble here in the 21st century. Thanksgiving has become a near-meaningless secular holiday for 'friends and family' with mere lip service paid to the Almighty God who provides the blessings we refuse to thank Him for.
"But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:" Proverbs 1:25-29 (KJV)
Here now is the original Thanksgiving proclamation given to us by George Washington 230 years ago tomorrow. You would do well to put Almighty God first in whatever celebrations you have tomorrow on this year's Thanksgiving day. Because you never know when Almighty God, who is amazingly longsuffering towards us, might just decide to take away the blessings that we, as a nation, no longer seem to be very grateful for.

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.
Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.
And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.
GIVEN under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

Joy Behar And 'The View' Hosts Mock Christians By Setting 'Impeach Trump' Song To The Tune Of 'Joy To The World' Hymn About The Birth Of Jesus Christ

Comedian Mario Cantone appeared on a special segment of 'The View', and sang a song to co-host Joy Behar in celebration of her birthday. What song did Cantone sing to her? It was called 'Impeach Trump', and it was set to the tune of the time-honored and beloved Christian hymn 'Joy To The World', written to celebrate the miracle birth of Jesus to the virgin mother Mary. They could have chosen any song, so why this one? Because the Godless Democrats don't only hate Trump, they also hate the miracle of life which is why they push so hard for abortion, and they hate Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Oprah Winfrey And Stephen Colbert Take Turns Mocking God, Jesus And The Bible On The Late Show

Back in March of 2018 on the Stephen Colbert show, Colbert discussed with guest Oprah Winfrey the possibility of her running for president in 2020. Winfrey famously said not too long ago that if she were to run for president, she would need a 'sign from God'. So Colbert had "god" show up to discuss it. READ MORE
