President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden squared off in the first presidential debate on Tuesday evening at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.

There were many incredible moments in tonight's 2020 Presidential Debates between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, but the runaway favorite for me was when President Trump got Joe Biden to say that the Green New Deal was not his plan, and that he was not supporting it. One can only imagine the sound of breaking glass over at AOC headquarters, and the loud uttering of the mostly unprintable invectives that followed.

"Trump says the Green New Deal wants to take out cows, take down buildings and rebuild them under green standards. Wallace asks Biden if his plan will hurt the economy. Biden says it will create millions of good-paying jobs, speaking about tax incentives for weatherization. Biden says the Green New Deal is not his plan." source

It was chaotic to be sure, but the clear winner was Donald Trump, especially in moments when he forced Biden to repeatedly lie about things like his son Hunter Biden not being dishonorably discharged from the military due to cocaine use. He was. Biden said that Trump told people to 'inject themselves with bleach', that was a lie. Joe Biden said his son Hunter did not receive $3.5 million from Russia, that was a lie. He did receive the money.

Joe Biden declared, "The Green New Deal is not my plan" after badgering by President Trump during Tuesday night's presidential debate. "No, I don't support the Green New Deal," Biden said. "I support the Biden plan I put forward, which is different than what he calls the radical Green New Deal."

Joe Biden refused to say whether he supports increasing the size of the Supreme Court or ending the filibuster if Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed because “Whatever position I take on that, that will become the issue.” And the issue is that people should vote.
