Just In Time For Feast Of Trumpets, Kanye West Prepares To Drop New Album Called ‘Jesus Is King’, But Will It Lead Millions Of His Followers Away From The Real Jesus?

Kanye West has confirmed the release date for his highly anticipated album titled “Jesus Is King”. He announced 27 September as the release date for the soon to be released project.

Whatever you may think of Kanye West, one thing is certainly true. His ability for marketing and branding is second to none, allowing him to have an amazingly lucrative career in music despite not being very musically talented. Now the rapper is making a foray into a new genre, Christian rap, with an album release timed to coincide with the biblical Feast of Trumpets and titled 'Jesus Is King'. But which Jesus will West be giving us?

"Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." Matthew 15:8 (KJV)

Everywhere you look in the news today, people are talking about their "christian faith" and "jesus christ", but starkly absent from these proclamations is any evidence or indication of gospel of the grace of God which leads people to repentance and salvation. Many of the people who are now talking about Jesus are living lives that are in complete contradiction to how the real Jesus says we are to live our lives. Gay mayor Pete Buttigieg, running for president, says that his "christian faith" confirms his LGBTQ+ lifestyle and that God has blessed the same-sex marriage of him and his 'husband'. The Bible actually condemns those things in no uncertain terms, so how does he get away with statements like that? Because no one actually reads the Bible, much less studies it, in 2019 you are free to create your own version of the "jesus" you want to follow.

"For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:11,12 (KJV)

The danger of an album like 'Jesus Is King' is that the millions of followers of Kanye West will buy it, thinking that he has had some kind of a spiritual conversion, when in fact there is no evidence that has taken place. This will have the effect of confirming lost people in their sins rather than leading them out of them. General Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, said this about false conversions:

“The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, heaven without hell.” William Booth

This is exactly the danger of an album like 'Jesus Is King', is gives you a form of godliness while at the same time denying the power of it, exactly what the apostle Paul warned us about when he says that 'perilous times will come' in the last days in 2 Timothy 3. FROM MUSIC POINT AFRICA: With the long-awaited Yandhi still nowhere to be seen, a new record has now been announced in its place. ‘Jesus Is King’ is his 9th studio album which follows last year’s project titled ‘YE’. From the title, we should be expecting some Gospel sounds following his recent Sunday-service sessions as reported by UDISCOVERMUSIC.

In July 2019, several tracks from the album were leaked online. On August 29, 2019, West’s wife Kim Kardashian announced Jesus Is King with a released date of September 27, 2019 and a picture of a handwritten track list on her Twitter.
