DAY OF WONDERS: Microsoft Wins $22 Billion, 10-Year Contract To Supply US Army With HoloLens Augmented Reality Headsets To Conduct Warfare by Geoffrey Grider The U.S. Army said Wednesday that Microsoft has won a contract to build more than custom HoloLens augmented reality headsets. The contract for over 120,000 headsets could be worth up to $21.88 billion over 10 years, a Microsoft spokesperson told CNBC. With each passing month, the technology net grows ever-tighter as our Silicon Valley masters continue to exert their end times influence over not just America, but across the entire world. The launching of the internet in 1994 created the web that successfully caught its prey, and with it we have spent the last two and a half decades watching the Mark of the Beast system assemble itself. "Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you." Habakkuk 1:5 (KJB) I talk about it a lot, and for good reason, that the cheesy Christian movie 'Revelation: Apocalypse 2', with its tiny budget and questionable production values totally nailed it with something they called the 'Day of Wonders'. What was that? It was the administration of the Mark of the Beast via an Augmented Reality headset just like the Microsoft HoloLens that was just awarded a $22,000,000,000.00 contract with the US Army. Kinda funny how all that works, eh? Buckle up, you ain't seen nothing yet, it's going to come at you fast and furious. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." Revelation 12:11,12 (KJB) MICROSOFT NOT ONLY FUNDS ID2020 BUT THEY ALSO FILED A PATENT FOR A DEVICE CONNECTED TO THE HUMAN BODY FOR BUYING AND SELLING CRYPTOCURRENCY Microsoft will deliver to the U.S. Army more than 120,000 devices based on its HoloLens augmented reality headset. FROM CNBC: The deal shows Microsoft can generate meaningful revenue from a futuristic product resulting from years of research, beyond core areas such as operating systems and productivity software. It follows a $480 million contract Microsoft received to give the Army prototypes of the Integrated Visual Augmented System, or IVAS, in 2018. The new deal will involve providing production versions. The standard-issue HoloLens, which costs $3,500, enables people to see holograms overlaid over their actual environments and interact using hand and voice gestures. An IVAS prototype that a CNBC reporter tried out in 2019 displayed a map and a compass and had thermal imaging to reveal people in the dark. The system could also show the aim for a weapon. “The IVAS headset, based on HoloLens and augmented by Microsoft Azure cloud services, delivers a platform that will keep soldiers safer and make them more effective,” Alex Kipman, a technical fellow at Microsoft and the person who introduced the HoloLens in 2015, wrote in a blog post. “The program delivers enhanced situational awareness, enabling information sharing and decision-making in a variety of scenarios.” The headset enables soldiers to fight, rehearse and train in one system, the Army said in a statement. The contract, which was awarded on Friday, has a five-year base period, with a five-year option after that, an Army spokesperson told CNBC an email. The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The deal makes Microsoft a more prominent technology supplier to the U.S. military. In 2019, Microsoft secured a contract to provide cloud services to the Defense Department, beating out Amazon, the leader of the public-cloud market. Amazon has been challenging the contract, which could be worth up to $10 billion, in federal court. Some Microsoft employees asked the company to hold off on submitting for the cloud contract, and similarly, a group of employees called on Microsoft to cancel the HoloLens contract. “We did not sign up to develop weapons, and we demand a say in how our work is used,” the employees wrote in an open letter regarding the HoloLens contract. Days later, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella defended the Army augmented reality project, telling CNN that “we made a principled decision that we’re not going to withhold technology from institutions that we have elected in democracies to protect the freedoms we enjoy.” The Army, meanwhile, has suggested the augmented reality technology could help soldiers target enemies and prevent the killing of civilians. READ MORE

Boston Dynamics Finally Progresses To Point Where Their Robots Now Move And Act Like The Ones In Those Terrifying Dystopian Future Movies by Geoffrey Grider Boston Dynamics is a cutting-edge robotics company that's spent decades behind closed doors making robots that move in ways we've only seen in science fiction films. In the early 200's, there was a whole slew of dystopian robot movies like 'I, Robot', 'The Matrix', 'Surrogates', 'A.I Artificial Intelligence' and so many others. They were thrilling and terrifying at the same time, yet the realization of that technology was far, far into the future, right? Wrong. The vast majority of the things predicted in those movies have either already come to pass or in the process of. At Boston Dynamics, the future is yesterday. "And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." Revelation 13:13-15 (KJB) In the early 'blog days' of NTEB, we did articles on robot technology, and it was amazing the level they had got it to by 2011, 2016, but here in 2021 these robots move with human-like mobility, with refined, complex movements and gestures in a way that is most unsettling when you first see it. When you add the AI components of Virtual and Augmented Reality to that, you see very quickly where all this is headed. But don't worry, the folks at Boston Dynamics assure us that, even though they look just like the robots in those scary movies, they could never actually revolt and take over. Whew! What a relief. So glad they said that could never happen. (rolling my eyes). Boston Dynamics: Inside the workshop where robots of the future are being built FROM CBS NEWS: They occasionally release videos on YouTube of their life-like machines spinning, somersaulting or sprinting, which are greeted with fascination and fear. We've been trying, without any luck, to get into Boston Dynamics' workshop for years, and a few weeks ago they finally agreed to let us in. After working out strict COVID protocols, we went to Massachusetts to see how they make robots do the unimaginable. From the outside, Boston Dynamics headquarters looks pretty normal. Inside, however. it's anything but. If Willy Wonka made robots, his workshop might look something like this. There are robots in corridors, offices and kennels. They trot and dance and whirl and the 200-or-so human roboticists, who build and often break them, barely bat an eye. That is Atlas, the most human-looking robot they've ever made. It's nearly 5 feet tall, 175 pounds, and is programmed to run, leap and spin like an automated acrobat. Marc Raibert, the founder and chairman of Boston Dynamics doesn't like to play favorites, but definitely has a soft spot for Atlas. Marc Raibert: So here's a little bit of a jump. Anderson Cooper: I mean, that's incredible. (LAUGH)  Atlas isn't doing all this on its own. Technician Bryan Hollingsworth is steering it with this remote control. But the robot's software allows it to make other key decisions autonomously.  Marc Raibert: So really the robot is Anderson Cooper: That's incredible-- Marc Raibert: You know, doing all its own balance, all its own control. Bryan's just steering it, telling it what speed and direction. Its computers are-- adjusting how the legs are placed and what forces it's applying-- Marc Raibert: In order to keep it-- balanced. Atlas balances with the help of sensors, as well as a gyroscope and three on-board computers. It was definitely built to be pushed around. Marc Raibert: Good, push it a little bit more. It's just trying to keep its balance. Just like you will, if I push you. And you can push it in any direction, you can push it from the side. (LAUGH)  Making machines that can stay upright on their own and move through the world with the ease of an animal or human has been an obsession of Marc Raiberts' for 40 years. Anderson Cooper: The space of time you've been working in is nothing compared to the time it's taken for animals and humans to develop. Marc Raibert: Some people look at me and say, "Oh, Raibert, you've been stuck on this problem for 40 years." Animals are amazingly good, and people, at-- at what they do. You know, we're so agile. We're so versatile. We really haven't achieved what humans can do yet. But I think-- I think we can. Raibert isn't making it easy for himself, he's given most of his robots legs. Anderson Cooper: Why focus on, on legs? I would think wheels would be easier. Marc Raibert: Yeah, wheels and tracks are great if you have a prepared surface like a road or even a dirt road. But people and animals can go anywhere on earth-- using their legs. And, so, that, you know, that was the inspiration. Some of the first contraptions he built in the early 1980s bounced around on what looked like pogo sticks. They appeared in this documentary when Raibert was a pioneering professor of robotics and computer science at Carnegie Mellon. He founded Boston Dynamics in 1992, and with CEO Robert Playter has been working for decades to perfect how robots move. READ MORE

I'm sure this is just another article on the 'crazy conspiracy theories' of the anti-vaxxers who refuse to take the current COVID jab, or, it's a stunning illustration of what these vaccines can do to your body when you have an 'adverse reaction' after receiving it. But please take a good look at these photos and you tell me if you want to risk getting jabbed. I suppose it could have been worse, Richard Terrell could be visiting with Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Hank Aaron right now. But don't worry, vaccine advocates assure us that this "rash" was basically harmless and really amounts to nothing more than a case of poison ivy. Is that the conclusion that you come away with after reading this story? The conclusion I come to after seeing this mess is a 100% reinforcement of my belief in never taking the COVID vaccine. My skin peeled off,' Terrell told WRIC. By March 19, he sought a dermatologist's help, and the doctor sent him to an emergency room. His doctors at the ER ultimately ruled that Terrell's scary skin condition was indeed an extremely rare side effect of the vaccine, caused by the frenzied activation of his immune system. What began as a slight 'discomfort' under Richard Terrell's arm four days after his vaccination quickly escalated into an itchy, swollen flush covering most of his body Terrell's reaction was reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and, after five days in the hospital, he recovered and was able to go home. Despite the harrowing reaction, Terrell does not regret his vaccination and encourages everyone to get theirs.  Terrell's reaction was not unlike the 'Covid arm' rash seen in some recipients of Moderna's vaccine. But the splotch is typically a harmless response from the immune system to the shot that fades within a week. The official term used by dermatologists and allergists to describe the side effect is 'delayed cutaneous hypersensitivity.' Cutaneous means affecting the skin, hypersensitivity mean an unwanted reaction produced by the immune system and delayed because it typically occurs days after the shot is given. The rash is typically red and swollen, and sometime painful to the touch, and always appears on the arm in which the vaccine was administered. But Terrell's reaction went beyond mild, passing irritation. His legs and hands swelled grotesquely and turned a deep, painful purple. 'It was stinging, burning and itching,' Terrell told WRIC. 'Whenever I bent my arms or legs, like the inside of my knee, it was very painful where the skin was swollen and was rubbing against itself.' Even Terrell's back broke out red splotches. He stuck it out for several days before making an appointment with a dermatologist, who sent him to an emergency room where he was quickly admitted to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). 'We ruled out all the viral infections, we ruled out COVID-19 itself, we made sure that his kidneys and liver was okay, and finally we came to the conclusion that it was the vaccine that he had received that was the cause,' Dr Fnu Nutan, who treated Terrell. 'Skin is the largest organ in the body, and when it gets inflamed like his was, you can lose a lot of fluids and electrolytes,' she said, explaining that the reaction can become life-threatening as a result of dehydration if left untreated.  READ MORE
