Kim Jong-Un Boasts North Korea Can Hit ‘Any Target’ In America, And He May Just Be Right!!

Kim Jong-Un Boasts North Korea Can Hit ‘Any Target’ In America, And He May Just Be Right

by THE ORACLE.

Kim Jong-Un boasted of North Korea's ability to strike any target in the US after a second ICBM test that weapons experts said Saturday could even bring New York into range -– in a potent challenge to President Donald Trump.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Kim Jong-Un may be a funny little man with  a crazy bad haircut that no one takes seriously. But just remember, Adolf Hitler was a funny little man  with a crazy bad moustache that no one took seriously. Until he invaded Poland, started WWII and killed 6 million Jews along with 6 million other people from various assorted races. If we really want to "learn from history", it's  just about time to "send a message" to North Korea. And by sending a message, I mean we need  to blow up the launch pad the next time they get ready to fire off another missile. Funny little dictators need to be taken seriously. Very seriously.
China condemned the test but US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Beijing and Moscow bore "unique responsibility" for the growing threat posed by the reclusive North. Under Kim's leadership North Korea has accelerated its drive towards a credible nuclear strike capability, in defiance of international condemnation and multiple sets of UN sanctions.
Kim said the test "is meant to send a grave warning to the US" and demonstrated the North's ability to launch "at any place and time," the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.
The "leader said proudly the test also confirmed all the US mainland is within our striking range," it said. Trump denounced the launch as "reckless and dangerous" and rejected Pyongyang's claims that such tests helped ensure its security.
"The United States will take all necessary steps to ensure the security of the American homeland and protect our allies in the region."

North Korea threatens U.S. with nuclear missile strike:

Weapons experts said the altitude and flight time of Friday's missile suggested it was significantly more powerful than the July 4 test, with a theoretical range of around 10,000 kilometres (6,200 miles) meaning it might be able to reach east coast US cities like New York, depending on the payload size.

"North Korea seems to have made a logical step forward, as it tries to perfect the technologies to build and field an operationally-viable ICBM that can threaten the mainland United States," said Michael Elleman, missile defence specialist at the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies.
- 'Growing threat' -
Kim Dong-Yub, a defence analyst at the Institute for Far Eastern Studies at Kyungnam University, said the North may have succeeded in miniaturising warheads down to 750 kilograms (1,650 pounds).
"If the missile carries a 750 kg payload, its range could be 10,000 kilometres. Taking into account the Earth's rotation, it means it could reach not only the western cities but New York and Washington as well," he told AFP.
Tillerson said Pyongyang's main ally Beijing, together with Moscow, bore responsibility for the growing threat from Pyongyang.
"As the principal economic enablers of North Korea's nuclear weapon and ballistic missile development programme, China and Russia bear unique and special responsibility for this growing threat to regional and global stability," he said.
Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said he held telephone talks with Tillerson and agreed on the need to put "the heaviest possible pressure" on North Korea.
"We confirmed that we will closely cooperate in adopting a fresh UNSC (UN Security Council) resolution, including severe measures, and working on China and Russia," Kishida told reporters.
In a standard response to the test, Beijing urged restraint by all sides, after the US and South Korea conducted a live-fire exercise using surface-to-surface missiles.

The heads of the US and South Korean militaries also discussed "military response options" after North Korea's launch, the Pentagon said.

South Korea said the test had prompted it to speed up deployment of a US missile defence system, despite consistent protests from China that the programme would destabilise the region.
"The THAAD (missile defence) system deployment cannot solve South Korea's security concerns, nor can it solve the problems facing the Korean peninsula," China's ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement Saturday.
North Korea's unrelenting pursuit of its missile and nuclear programmes poses a thorny policy challenge for Trump, who is at loggerheads with Beijing over how to handle Kim's regime. Trump has repeatedly urged China to rein in its recalcitrant neighbour, but Beijing insists dialogue is the only practical way forward.
Joel Wit, a senior fellow at the US-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University and an expert on the North's nuclear weapons programme, said Friday's launch confirmed time was running out for Washington to find a way out of a pressing security crisis.
"Another North Korean test of what appears to be a missile that can reach the United States further emphasises the need for the Trump administration to focus like a laser on this increasingly dangerous situation," Wit said on the institute's 38 North website.
The North's July 4 test triggered global alarm, with experts saying the missile had a theoretical range to reach Alaska.
There remain doubts whether the North can miniaturise a nuclear weapon to fit a missile nose cone, or if it has mastered the technology needed for the projectile to survive re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere.
But since Kim came to power there has been a series of technical advances, including three nuclear tests and a string of missile launches.
In all, six sets of UN sanctions have been imposed on North Korea since it first tested an atomic device in 2006, but two resolutions adopted last year significantly toughened the sanctions regime. source

96 People Injured The Moment The Temple Mount Is Reopened Following Palestinian Attack On 2 Israeli Police!!

96 People Injured The Moment The Temple Mount Is Reopened Following Palestinian Attack On 2 Israeli Police

by Geoffrey Grider

Muslims rioted on the Temple Mount Thursday evening and hurled rocks at police and the Western Wall plaza, after returning to pray there for the first time in almost two weeks.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Last week, two Palestinian terrorists killed Israeli policemen on the Temple Mount. So Israel closed the Mount, installed metal detectors, and then reopened. Palestinians went crazy because of the metal detectors. So Israel removes the metal detectors, reopens the Mount, and what happens? Hundreds of Palestinians attack Israeli police, resulting in 96 injuries on both sides. All the Palestinians seem to want to do is riot, kill and loot. That's all they ever do. They don't make peace because they don't want peace. They want war.
Ninety-six people were wounded in clashes with police, according to the Red Crescent. The Muslims had boycotted the site for the last two weeks in protest of heightened security measures there.
Muslim worshipers ascended the Temple Mount with Palestinian flags, in contravention of regulations banning all flags from the site. The thousands of Muslims streamed up to the Temple Mount in the afternoon after the mufti of Jerusalem, Muhammad Hussein, announced they could return to pray at the holy place. The decision was made following the removal of all metal detectors, security cameras and other infrastructure installed at the entrances to the compound since two policemen were killed there by three Israeli-Arab terrorists two weeks ago.
At least one policeman, who was wounded in the rioting when a rock struck his head, was treated on the scene.
“Police personnel deployed in increased numbers on the Temple Mount, at the gates and entrances to ensure security and order, and will respond harshly to any attempt to breach public order and to harm civilians or police,” the police told the press.

Palestinians return to Temple Mount in East Jerusalem for Friday prayers:

Jerusalem Police commander Asst.-Ch. Yoram Halevy said he expected large numbers of Muslims to attend Friday prayers at al-Aksa Mosque on the Temple Mount, and that he was also expecting attempts to harm police personnel and civilians.

“Do not test us tomorrow, and no one should be surprised if there are injuries on the other side,” he said in a stark message to the Palestinians. “I call on the leadership of the other side to act to calm the atmosphere, and again not to test us tomorrow.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said following the riots on the Temple Mount that after discussing the issue with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, he ordered heightened numbers of Border Police to bolster the police personnel deployed in Jerusalem.
Following uproar in the Muslim world and fury from Palestinian religious and political leaders, police on Thursday morning removed the recently erected metal detectors and CCTV cameras. The items were originally placed at the entrances to the Temple Mount to prevent more terrorist attacks against Jews and security personnel at the site.
Terrorists have consistently used al-Aksa Mosque as a staging ground for attacks and riots due to the exploitation of an agreement with the Jordanian government barring Israeli officers from entering the mosque.

In a brief statement, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld confirmed the developments.

“The metal detectors and cameras that were put into place outside the Temple Mount after the terror attack on the Temple Mount, when two officers were murdered, have been removed and dismantled,” he said, adding that he could not add more details at the time.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas “praised the steadfastness of Jerusalem Muslims and Christians in the face of the Israeli measures against al-Aksa and said their stand was such that the right would prevail and the wrong would pass away.”
PLO executive committee member Wasel Abu Yusuf told The Jerusalem Post that the lifting of the Israeli measures is “a great achievement for the defenders of al-Aksa and for the Palestinian people against all the efforts to solidify the occupation against blessed al-Aksa Mosque.
“All the sons of the Palestinian people are called to come to blessed al-Aksa mosque for prayers,” he said.
The United States said it would not pressure Israel to make security decisions one way or another “for political purposes,” a State Department official said on Thursday. Thus the administration did not ask Israel to remove either metal detectors or cameras from the holy plateau.
“We continue to monitor that situation very closely,” said State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert. “We don’t want to do or say anything that will escalate tensions in the region. We all know it’s a fragile part of the world.”
Nauert said the Trump administration is taking a “long view” of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and would remain cautious in its public statements regarding current tensions on the Temple Mount. The president’s special representative for international negotiations, Jason Greenblatt, remains in the region for meetings with leadership from both sides, she said. source

After Stunning Loses In The Middle East, Islamic Terror Group ISIS Sets Up New Beachhead In The Philippines!!

After Stunning Loses In The Middle East, Islamic Terror Group ISIS Sets Up New Beachhead In The Philippines

by Geoffrey Grider

At a crowded center for refugees fleeing the fighting that has ravaged this city, Merlinda Obedencio never lets her most valuable possession out of sight: a blue cellphone. It is the only link she has to her husband and three of their six children being held by Islamic State-linked extremists ISIS.

Obedencio’s husband, Raul, and their children were captured by the local Maute extremist group during a siege that started May 23 and has left almost 600 dead.
Almost 400,000 people have been displaced by the fighting in Marawi, a city on the southern island of Mindanao, according to the Philippine military. And like Obedencio, most face an uncertain future in a region turned upside down by extremist violence.
The Islamic State, also known as ISIS, views the drawn-out battle as a major win at a time when it is being driven out of its base in Iraq and Syria, bringing greater attention to the Philippines and Southeast Asia as a new beachhead for extremists.
“This is what I consider the first significant example of how foreign fighters from the Syria/Iraq battle space can be brought to bear in another part of the world,” said Thomas Sanderson, director of the Transnational Threats Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.
After weeks of not knowing whether her family was alive, Obedencio got a call from her husband, who got access to a hidden cellphone. He said he is forced to cook for his captors. He said their 20-year-old son is being used as a human shield on the front lines, while their daughter, 17, was “married” to one of the fighters.
Her husband has since been able to call or text a handful of times, and this contact helps Obedencioda, a devout Christian, keep going.
“For almost two months, I can’t sleep well,” she said. “I’m always thinking of them — are they in good hands? Sometimes when they call I thank God that my family is still alive. I don’t know what we will do after this. All I can do is pray.”
Farhan Macapandia, 23, an English teacher, spent 13 days trapped at home with 11 family members and neighbors after the fighting broke out. The last four days were spent without food, having only rainwater they could collect.
The group finally made a break to safety, carrying only a few essentials. They’re now staying at an evacuation center in the military-controlled compound near the heart of the fighting, where daily airstrikes rattle the buildings and stray bullets are a routine danger.
“We don't have any idea right now if our house is still there,” said Macapandia. ”We don't have money. Our access to work, lost. Our house, lost. Everything, lost. It seems that we need to have a new life, a new beginning.”
While residents blame the extremists for the violence and chaos, many are also growing impatient with the military and its heavy airstrikes, which are leveling buildings throughout the city.
“We are angry at the two sides — ISIS and the military,” said Macapandia’s mother, Nabiliah. “We are trapped here in a war zone.”
The fighting has been contained to a 7,500-square-foot area of the city, with 60 to 70 militants holding about 100 hostages, said Lt. Col. Jo-Ar Herrera, spokesman for the military’s Task Force Marawi.
The fighting, which initially was expected to end in a matter of days, has killed 427 militants, 99 soldiers and 45 civilians, according to the military. The Philippine congress voted Saturday to extend martial law on Mindanao until the end of the year. President Rodrigo Duterte had declared martial law for 60 days when the fighting began.
Herrera admitted the battle has “exposed the gaps and weaknesses” in the military’s ability to conduct urban warfare. “We should see the city or urban area as the battleground of the future, and we need to upgrade our capabilities,” he said.
Among the fighters who were killed are militants from Chechnya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, while fighters from Pakistan and Morocco are still active in the city, the Philippine military said. A greater future danger may be fighters from Southeast Asia returning from Iraq and Syria, said analyst Sanderson.
“Without a doubt, Southeast Asians returning is perhaps the most lethal element of the discussion, because they are coming with the same high-level combat skills that the other combatants have, but these are guys who know the local territory and language,” Sanderson said.
As ISIS loses ground in the Middle East, militants from around this region are moving their operations to Southeast Asia — primarily the Philippines, said Sidney Jones, director of Jakarta-based Institute for Policy Analysis of Conflict,
“The idea that the Philippines is now the destination of choice rather than Syria has sunk in,” she said. “That's definite now.”
Jones warned that the Philippine military is treading a thin line by using excessive force, because of its long history of taking a harsh stance against extremist groups in Mindanao.
“One theme that was used to bring people on board to the ISIS message is the brutality of the security services," she said. “This was before even the airstrikes. So I think there's got to be a serious re-think of how the Duterte administration responds to extremism. Because if they're not careful, they're going to be building a new generation of extremists, not eradicating the generation that's there now.”

Many in Marawi agree that the aftermath of the fight may be the biggest challenge.

“There will be social disorder, political instability, health issues,” said Norodin Alonto Lucman, a well-known former politician and Muslim chieftain.
Lucman, who harbored in his home 74 civilians — including 31 Christians — for 12 days during the conflict before escaping, said many conditions that caused extremism in the first place will be exacerbated by the fighting here.
“We believe that this rebellion in Mindanao is caused by poverty,” he said. “With the Marawi crisis, you reduce thousands more people into poverty — but now they have guns.”
In the meantime, Obedencio waits with her blue phone for news about her trapped family. "It’s so hard to be a mother trying to look forward to their release," she said. "I pray all the time. It's just a great nightmare.” source

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

The word, ‘flesh’ has many meanings, and can refer to different things, depending on the context.. but in this verse the word, ‘flesh’ is referring to the old sin nature.. the fallen fleshly egocentric nature, we inherited from Adam. In this passage ‘flesh’ refers to the old sinful self – ‘the Old Man’ as the Bible calls it.
Adam was the federal head of God’s creation. It was the first creation – the old creation, which became a fallen creation. When Adam sinned, man died spiritually, leaving every member of humanity dead in trespasses and sin. Man’s body also started to die immediately, and man’s soul was corrupted and tainted with sin.. such that man knew what was good, yet was unable to do it.. and man knew what was evil, but was unable to avoid it.
Works of the flesh are totally rejected by the Lord. Good deeds, that are carried out by the old sin nature – however commendable they appear to be, are utterly rejected by God. The only way that man can return into fellowship with his Creator, is by becoming part of His new creation – where Christ is the federal Head of an entirely new race of humanity.
Once we have been saved by grace through faith in Christ.. any good works that we undertake are to be done through the new, Christ-given nature, which we receive at salvation, and not the old, sin nature, which was imputed to us, due to our membership of the first creation in Adam. When we were born into that old sin-ridden creation, we received an old sinful nature. But once we are born from above, we became part of a new, perfect creation, with a new nature and a new life in Christ.
Once we have been saved.. everything and anything that is connected with the first creation, and our old sinful nature, is totally and utterly rejected by the Lord. Any good works that are undertaken by means of our ‘Old Man’ are unacceptable to the Lord, and can never honour His name. Any good actions or kindly deeds, that are carried out in our original, fleshly sin nature, which we received from the first Adam, will never, ever be acknowledged or accepted by the Lord.
There is nothing we can do to commend ourselves to the Father. There is no work we carry out in the flesh that can merit God’s approbation. There is no ritual we can perform to gain God’s approval. If our sacrifices are selfish, our self-denials are fleshly, our prayers are self-righteous, our preaching is self-elevating or our good words are self-seeking.. then God cannot, and will not, have anything to do with them, because they emanate from the old sinful nature. They are works of the flesh and will be burned up, as wood, hay and stubble, at the Bema seat of Christ.
The Christian life must not be focused on self, but on Christ. We are to live in the “not I but Christ” realm. We are to die to our own sinful desires, lustful leanings and self-elevating egocentricities. We are to keep the fleshly self, with all its pretence and self-deception, firmly nailed to the cross – and we are to live our life for Christ alone.
When the Lord Jesus won the victory on the cross, we received a new life by faith. At salvation we were removed from the old creation in Adam and placed into the new creation in Christ. The sinful, fleshly Old Man will seek to reassert its supremacy.. while-ever we are in our human body of flesh and blood, but each fleshly uprising must be deactivated, as we deny self, take up our cross and take every thought captive to Christ.
As believers we sill retain our freewill, but in Christ we have received power over that old, fallen, sin nature.. as we die to self and live for Christ, alone. If we permit the old sin nature to mount the throne of our life, we dishonour the Lord and will reap the bitter fruit of sinfulness, but it we keep the Old Man nailed to the cross and live for Christ alone.. we will reap the everlasting fruit of righteousness, for he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am part of the new creation in Christ, and have been freed from the ravages of sin, death and hell, by faith in the shed blood of Christ on Calvary. Father, I want to live my life in spirit and truth and keep the old sin nature out of commission and nailed to the cross. Help me to honestly recognise any fleshly tendencies, to which I may cling, and keep me, I pray, from sowing to my flesh. Rather, I ask that in the power of the Holy Spirit, I may sow to the Spirit, and live my life in humble submission.. and unto the Lord, for His praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN

RELIGION OF PEACE: California Iman Ammar Shahin Delivers Sermon Asking Allah To ‘Annihilate’ All Jews

by Geoffrey Grider

Imam Ammar Shahin of the Islamic Center of Davis in California delivered a sermon on Friday in which he quoted an antisemitic hadith and prayed for Allah to “annihilate” Jews “down to the very last one.”

"Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 14:21 (KJV)
EDITOR'S NOTE: Just as you don't get mad at the shark when he bites you while you're swimming in the ocean, you cannot get mad at Muslims for calling for "death for all Jews". It's what they drink, sleep, eat, believe and dream about. There is nothing in this entire world the average Muslim wants more than the complete annihilation of all Jews everywhere. This is what Islam is based on, what the Qu'ran teaches and what Mohammed advocated. It's a religion of death, started by devils, and calling for destruction. And that's why Zechariah says God is going to wipe them all out.
The video of Shahin’s sermon was posted to the Islamic Center of Davis’s YouTube channel on Friday, and translated and excerpted by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), though portions of the sermon were delivered in English. You can watch it here below.
The topic of the sermon was the ongoing controversy at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, where the Israeli government installed metal detectors at access points to the Al-Aqsa Mosque after a terrorist shot and killed two Druze Israeli soldiers earlier this month.
Jewish visitors to the nearby Western Wall have had to pass through metal detectors for decades, due to the security threat of terrorism. Nevertheless, the new metal detectors for Muslim worshippers have been whipped into a source of outrage among Palestinians and throughout the Muslim world.
In his sermon at the Islamic Center, Shahin quoted, in Arabic, one of the most notorious antisemitic hadiths (teachings of Muhammad) — one quoted by the Hamas charter — in which Muslims are called upon to kill the Jews to bring about Judgment Day, and in which Muhammad is said to prophesy that the Jews will try to hide behind rocks and trees, which will call out to Muslims to kill them.

Shahin said (via MEMRI transcript):

The Prophet Muhammad said: ‘Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Jews hide behind stones and trees, and the stones and the trees say: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah…’ They will not say: Oh Egyptian, oh Palestinian, oh Jordanian, oh Syrian, oh Afghan, oh Pakistani. The Prophet Muhammad says that they time will come, the Last Hour will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews. We don’t say if it is in Palestine or another place. Until they fight… When that war breaks out, they will run and hide behind every rock, and house, and wall, and trees. The house, the wall, and the tress will call upon the Muslims. It will say: Oh Muslim… It will not say: Oh Palestinian, oh Egyptian, oh Syrian, oh Afghan, oh Pakistani, oh Indian… No, it will say: Oh Muslim. Muslim. When Muslims come back… ‘Come, there is someone behind me – except for the Gharqad tree, which is the tree of the Jews. Except for a certain tree that they are growing today in Palestine, in that area, except this form of tree, which they are growing today… That’s the tree that will not speak to the Muslims.
Article 7 of the Hamas covenant reads:
The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews.” (related by alBukhari and Moslem).
Shahin also prayed (in Arabic):
Oh Allah, support the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the rest of the Muslim lands. Oh Allah, liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the filth of the Jews. Oh Allah, destroy those who closed the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Oh Allah, show us the black day that You inflict upon them, and the wonders of Your ability. Oh Allah, count them one by one and annihilate them down to the very last one. Do not spare any of them.
It is not clear whether Shahin meant for Muslims to “annihilate” all Jews everywhere, or merely all of those responsible for the temporary closure of the Temple Mount and the installation of metal detectors in response to radical Islamic terror.
The full video of Shahin’s remarks place today’s controversy at the Temple Mount in the context of past Muslim grievances against the Crusaders for occupying the mosque and other indignities. In his remarks, his voice shaking with emotion, Shahin demanded that his audience take action to defend the mosque.
He described the fight with the “Yahood” (Jews) as a fight over faith, not over land. He said the Jews had won thus far because they were fighting for their faith. “It’s a war of faith. It’s either a belief or disbelief … They train their children to read the Torah … we do not have the parents who sits with their children and raise their awareness of what’s al Masjid Al-Aqsa.”
He praised Palestinians who face Israeli soldiers with rocks, and mocked those who merely watch events from afar. He urged congregants to pray, at the very least, for those resisting the Israelis.

At no point in his sermon did Shahin condemn the terror attack that provoked Israel to take additional security measures.

The mosque promoted the video on its YouTube channel with the comment: “Please share, implement, and make Dua for the victory of the Muslim Ummah.” Friday is the holy day of the Islamic week, and Friday sermons are considered the most important.
Neither Shahin nor the president of the mosque returned requests for comment from Breitbart News by the time of publication. Davis has been the site of other antisemitic incidents in the recent past, some evidently fueled by radical Islamic beliefs and affinity for the Hamas terrorist group.
In 2015, Muslims students taunted Jewish students at a student government meeting by chanting “Allahu Akbar!” at them, One of the Muslim students involved later boasted that “Hamas and Sharia law have taken over UC Davis.” source

"THIS AGE OF THE GENTILES IS ABOUT OVER" BY GENE LAWLEY FROM "RAPTURE READY"!!

This Age of the Gentiles Is About Over - By Gene Lawley -

It is my belief that this age of the Gentiles, this age of grace, is near its end, and following are some reasons why I think that.

First of all, Jesus aid, in Luke 21:28, "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near," just after He gave a whole list of cataclysmic events that will come upon the world so that men's hearts will fail them for fear.

The Great Deceiver, whose goal is to lull everyone to sleep and unaware of eternal danger ahead, has come up with "man-made climate change" to explain it all. It was once called "global warming" until the heavy snow storms came upon us in the middle of the outcry of concern for global warming with melting of the icebergs and rising of ocean levels that would overcome the land masses.

In that list of stormy events Jesus said there would be earthquakes in different places, places that were not previously normal for them to be experienced. Ravaging hurricanes, ice storms, tornados with devastating effect have been happening.

The statement He made next, however, gives us the "times and seasons" in which these things would appear. He spoke, in Luke 21:29-32 in parable form, that the blossoming of the fig tree-a type of or identity of the nation of Israel-would mark the time of the end. Note His words:

"Then He spoke to them a parable: 'Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.'"

If He meant the generation which heard Him say that, as perhaps some might want to argue, then you and I would never have been born. No, He was talking of the generation which would see the return of Israel to its place as a nation among the nations. This happened on May 14, 1948, sixty-nine years ago. How long is a generation in God's timetable? Psalm 90:10 gives us a clue:

"The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."

(This last part reminds me of that old faithful gospel song, "I'll Fly Away" and probably is the source of that title.)

When He says "all things take place," it is clear that He means the final seven years that are called the Tribulation period, for it ends with Jesus coming to the earth to reign as King of kings on earth for a thousand years. (See Revelation 20.)

Based on the accumulation of years since the rebirth of Israel, we are in the range of months only until Jesus comes in the Rapture of the saints.

There are other telltale events in this world, also, that indicate that the time is very short. In 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 Paul tells us that a "falling away" must come before the appearance of the lawless one.  Some argue that this means "taking away" as in the Rapture, which is mentioned later in the chapter as being "when the one who restrains is taken out of the way."

I looked at how about 52 English translations and paraphrases recorded that phrase, "falling away," or if it were translated as "taking away" instead. Almost all were using "falling away" or a similar wording as their translation variation. The closest phrase used was "departure," which can easily mean "departure from the faith." None of them specifically identified the phrase with the Rapture, however.

It is totally conceivable that the end result of "falling away" from lawfulness will usher in that very image of lawlessness-the devil himself. That turning from lawfulness is confirmed by other Scripture, as follows, in spite of the argument as to the meaning of that phrase in the original Greek:

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron..." (1 Timothy 4:1-2).

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away" (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

"But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Timothy 3:13).

"Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming?

For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men" (2 Peter 3:1-7).

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world" (1 John 4:1-3).

(I have noted before that an uncle once complained that details of topics of the Bible were not put together under each respective topic heading, as in an encyclopedia, and now I have almost done the same thing. However, here I have quoted Paul, Peter and John to confirm the consistency of the Scriptures as one message.)

It is almost unbelievable what we see in the news every day , not only in America but the whole world, the turn to lawlessness. Terrorism runs rampant and it seems no one can get a handle on it with any authority. Political correctness has become the controlling principle for social relationships. There is a faction that is quick to call any contrary judgment to their way of thinking "racism" no matter what is the real issue.

Here in America the absolute hate for President Trump is so very vivid in the  liberal side of our culture that there seems to be no way to resolve the differences. The very things which the leftist Democrats have always said they are for are the things Donald Trump promised he would do and is doing them, yet their hate is so strong they will not cooperate at all to get those things done.

President Trump is president of the people of America, but he does not fit their mold of a president, so "he just is not presidential." They strongly deny it, but it does appear that they would rather destroy America than to see President Trump succeed.

Check the source of their "wisdom." Solomon wrote in Proverbs 9:10, "the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom," so it is no wonder that their default position turns out to be lawlessness, right out of the pit of the devil's habitat.

Just like Jesus said, false prophets with their false doctrines are abounding and are giving the masses a casual attitude regarding any sense of impending judgment and the end of the age. A news person the other day told of a bumper sticker that said, "Jesus Is Coming-Look Busy." When sunlight is filtered through darkness, its intensity is greatly diminished and therefore, its effect shows up as increased lawlessness, in spiritual terms.

Why does God allow such to happen? There seems to be a principle that God allows mankind to embrace sinfulness in a big way once he has rejected God as his Master. It confirms Man's judgment for his rebellion. Yet, God says He is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" in 2 Peter 3:9.

None will enter the presence of God having not repented and turned away from his rebellion against God and receiving Jesus as his personal Savior, just as John 14:6 declares that none can be saved except through Him.
