"Roundup Linked to Global Boom in Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance" By "Sustainable Pulse"!

Roundup Linked to Global Boom in Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance

Posted on Feb 19 2014 - 12:14am by Sustainable Pulse
Celiac disease, gluten intolerance and irritable bowel syndrome are on the rise worldwide, and that rise has taken place in parallel with the increased use of glyphosate (Roundup) herbicide, shows a new US peer-reviewed paper from Dr. Anthony Samsel and Dr. Stephanie Seneff. The review has been published in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Toxicology.

Roundup is linked in Samsel and Seneff’s new review paper to a major increase in celiac disease. A recent estimate suggests that one in twenty people in North America and Western Europe now suffer from this gluten intolerant disease.
“All of the known biological effects of glyphosate – cytochrome P450 inhibition, disruption of synthesis of aromatic amino acids, chelation of transition metals, and antibacterial action – contribute to the pathology of celiac disease,” Samsel and Seneff’s paper states.
Monsanto’s Glyphosate (Roundup) has become the number one selling herbicide worldwide, due to the increase in the planting of Roundup Ready GM Crops.
What is Celiac Disease?
Celiac disease is a digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. People who have celiac disease cannot tolerate gluten, a protein in wheat, rye, and barley. Gluten is found mainly in foods but may also be found in everyday products such as medicines, vitamins, and lip balms.
When people with celiac disease eat foods or use products containing gluten, their immune system responds by damaging or destroying villi—the tiny, fingerlike protrusions lining the small intestine. Villi normally allow nutrients from food to be absorbed through the walls of the small intestine into the bloodstream. Without healthy villi, a person becomes malnourished, no matter how much food one eats.
Journal of Interdisciplinary Toxicology Review Abstract:
Authors: Dr. Anthony Samsel and Dr. Stephanie Seneff
Celiac disease, and, more generally, gluten intolerance, is a growing problem worldwide, but especially in North America and Europe, where an estimated 5% of the population now suffers from it. Symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, skin rashes, macrocytic anemia and depression. It is a multifactorial disease associated with numerous nutritional deficiencies as well as reproductive issues and increased risk to thyroid disease, kidney failure and cancer. Here, we propose that glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide, Roundup®, is the most important causal factor in this epidemic. Fish exposed to glyphosate develop digestive problems that are reminiscent of celiac disease. Celiac disease is associated with imbalances in gut bacteria that can be fully explained by the known effects of glypho- sate on gut bacteria. Characteristics of celiac disease point to impairment in many cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are involved with detoxifying environmental toxins, activating vitamin D3, catabolizing vitamin A, and maintaining bile acid production and sulfate supplies to the gut. Glyphosate is known to inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes. Deficiencies in iron, cobalt, molybdenum, copper and other rare metals associated with celiac disease can be attributed to glyphosate’s strong ability to chelate these elements. Deficiencies in tryptophan, tyrosine, methionine and selenomethionine associated with celiac disease match glyphosate’s known depletion of these amino acids. Celiac disease patients have an increased risk to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which has also been implicated in glyphosate exposure. Reproductive issues associated with celiac disease, such as infertility, miscarriages, and birth defects, can also be explained by glyphosate. Glyphosate residues in wheat and other crops are likely increasing recently due to the growing practice of crop desiccation just prior to the harvest. We argue that the practice of “ripening” sugar cane with glyphosate may explain the recent surge in kidney failure among agricultural workers in Central America. We conclude with a plea to governments to reconsider policies regarding the safety of glyphosate residues in foods.

"WHAT OBAMA SAID AT THE MOSQUE" BY DENNIS PRAGER.

If you seek to understand Barack Obama and his views, the best place to go is his speeches. But you have to read them in their entirety, not rely on hearing them or on the media’s summary of them. When you do, you realize how often what Obama says is morally and intellectually confused and even untrue.

The most recent example was his speech at a mosque in Baltimore. In addition to reassuring Muslim Americans that they are as American as Americans of every other faith – a point that any president, Republican or Democrat, would and should make – Obama spoke a lot of nonsense, some of it dangerous.

Obama: “So let’s start with this fact: For more than a thousand years, people have been drawn to Islam’s message of peace. And the very word itself, Islam, comes from salam – peace.”

Why did Obama say this? Even Muslim websites acknowledge that “Islam” means “submission” [to Allah], that it comes from the Arabic root “aslama” meaning submission, and that “Islam” is in the command form of that verb.

That’s why “Muslim” means “one who submits”, not “one who is peaceful”.

Obama: “Jefferson and John Adams had their own copies of the Koran.”

The reason Jefferson had a copy of the Koran was to try to understand it in light of what the Muslim ambassador from Tripoli had told him and John Adams. When asked why Tripoli pirates were attacking American ships and enslaving Americans, the Muslim ambassador explained that Muslims are commanded to do so by the Koran: “It was written in their Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman [Muslim] who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to Paradise.”

That’s why Jefferson and Adams had Korans.

Obama: “And how do we move forward together? … It can’t be just a burden on the Muslim community – although the Muslim community has to play a role.”

Most Americans would say that the American Muslim community has to play the role, not a role, in preventing violent Islam from capturing the minds of American Muslims, and in helping authorities identify extremist Muslims.

Obama: “Second, as Americans, we have to stay true to our core values, and that includes freedom of religion for all faiths.”

This is so obviously true that one wonders why the president felt it necessary to mention it.

Obama: “There are Christians who are targeted now in the Middle East, despite having been there for centuries, and there are Jews who’ve lived in places like France for centuries who now feel obliged to leave because they feel themselves under assault – sometimes by Muslims.”

One would have expected that after mentioning “Christians targeted now in the Middle East” he would have mentioned “Jews targeted now in the Middle East”. That, however, would presumably have been too controversial to say. So, the president mentioned the many Jews in France “who now feel obliged to leave” their country because “they feel themselves under assault” – and then came the corker: “sometimes by Muslims”.

Sometimes? French Jews have recently been murdered, tortured, and harassed more than at any time since the Holocaust. And virtually every one of those attacks has been perpetrated by Muslims.

Obama: “We have to be consistent in condemning hateful rhetoric and violence against everyone. And that includes against Muslims here in the United States of America.”

Two facts are relevant here. One is that religious hate crimes are exceedingly rare in America. The other is that in 2014, the last year for which we have data, Jews were targets of hate crimes four times more frequently than Muslims.

Obama: “I often hear it said that we need moral clarity in this fight. And the suggestion is somehow that if I would simply say, these are all Islamic terrorists, then we would actually have solved the problem by now, apparently.”

The president has made extensive use of the straw man – a false target that he then attacks. This is one such example. No one has ever said that if the president were to identify Islamic terrorists by name instead of nameless “violent extremists”, “we would actually have solved the problem by now.”

What drives most Americans crazy is that the president of the United States refuses to name the enemy. And this rewriting of reality filters down. Increasingly, for example, when (and if) 9/11 is taught in American schools, the attackers are not identified as Muslims.

Obama: “In the discussion I had before I came out, some people said, why is there always a burden on us? When a young man in Charleston shoots African-Americans in a church, there’s not an expectation that every white person in America suddenly is explaining that they’re not racist.”

This point alone should have been publicized by the media – that the president of the United States tells Muslims they have no moral obligation to condemn violence committed in the name of Islam.

Obama: “These are the voices of Muslim scholars, some of whom join us today, who know Islam has a tradition of respect for other faiths.”

Another falsehood. Islam has no such tradition. Islam has always demanded that Jews and Christians be treated as humiliated second-class citizens – when not forced to choose between conversion or death.

Now you know what President Obama said at the Islamic Society of Baltimore. But if you just read or listened to the mainstream media, you would have missed it because none of this was reported. It was all about, as the headline in USA Today put it, “At Baltimore mosque, Obama condemns anti-Muslim bigotry”.

USA SECRETARY OF STATE JOHN KERRY WARNED ON TUESDAY THAT THE WORLD COMMUNITY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SAVE SYRIA IF THE CURRENT FIGHTING CONTINUES MUCH LONGER!!

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry warned Tuesday the world community may not be able to save Syria – what once was Syria, anyway – if the current fighting continues much longer.
Speaking at a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the State Department’s annual budget request, Kerry had a grim outlook for the future of Syria.
“It may be too late to keep it as a whole Syria if we wait much longer,” the Secretary said, according to Reuters.
Even if the regime’s Russian-backed forces re-take the northern city of Aleppo – the largest commercial hub in the country – Kerry said it is hard to hold territory in Syria at this point.
For starters, the Secretary told the committee that he cannot guarantee that Russia will stick to the new cease-fire signed this week between the regime of President Bashar al-Assad and moderate opposition forces. Moscow and Washington also signed on to that truce, which excluded the Da’esh (ISIS), Al Qaeda and Jabhat al-Nusra (Al Nusra Front) terrorist groups.
The U.S. military is already looking ahead to a “Plan B,” he said, and will continue to support rebel efforts to overthrow Assad if Russia abandons its obligations under the truce.
“This can get a lot uglier,” Kerry warned. “Even if Russia took Aleppo… holding territory has always been difficult,” he said, according to Foreign Policy magazine. “Russia has to be sitting there evaluating that.”
Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker (R-TN) asked Kerry what would happen if in fact “this cease-fire doesn’t hold? I don’t think Russia believes that anything is going to happen.”
Kerry ducked the question, replying instead, “I’m not going to say this process is sure to work because I don’t know. But I know that it’s the best way to end the war, and it’s the only alternative available to us if indeed we’re going to have a political settlement.”
The Arab world, on the other hand, may not be as willing to wait around and see.
Gulf nation governments and that of Saudi Arabia have already warned their citizens to leave Lebanon if they haven’t already. As early as last week, rumors were flying that Turkey and Saudi Arabia were preparing their troops for a ground invasion of Syria to deal with the Da’esh (ISIS) terrorist threat on their own.

MORE ATTEMPTED PALESTINIAN STABBINGS THWARTED BY VIGILANT JEWISH PEOPLE IN THE WEST BANK OF ISRAEL!!

3 attempted stabbing attacks by Palestinian teens thwarted

The first incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. at the Tapuach Junction in the northern West Bank, near the major settlement city of Ariel. A Palestinian girl, 17, was stopped by Border Police after officers noticed that she was acting suspiciously, according to reports. She was discovered to be carrying a knife and admitted to police during her initial questioning that she intended to carry out an attack on Israeli troops or civilians after watching “inciting videos” on social media, according to Israeli media reports.
About three hours later, the Israel Defense Forces arrested a Palestinian boy, 14, who attempted to stab them near Hebron. The teen tried to open the door of an army vehicle and stab the soldiers inside, according to the IDF. He was overpowered and handcuffed without shots being fired.
Shortly before noon, a Palestinian boy, 16, was shot by Israeli troops patrolling near the West Bank city of Nablus after he tried to stab one of the soldiers. The army said in a statement that the troops had “responded to the imminent danger.”

"THE NUMBER OF HIS NAME" BY WENDY WIPPEL FROM "THE OMEGA LETTER"!!

The Number of His Name - Wendy Wippel -http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8195

Andreas Sjostrom is vice president of the Swedish technology company Sogeti and according to his LinkedIn profile, a "trendwatcher, with a focus on digital transformation and its impact on customer experience". Last week, however, he stopped watching trends and set one. And its impact? For future humanity,, apparently, a matter of life or death.

Andreas, you see, a techno-geek since childhood and, familiar with microchips now commonly implanted in pets to monitor their location, decided to himself play guinea pig in a test-run of the use of microchips in humans.  So he got himself a microchip kit online and enlisted Scandinavian Airlines as a research partner, who agreed to  encrypt his frequent flyer number on the microchip, called a near field communication chip (NFC).

The chip being roughly the size of a grain of rice.

Then he found a nurse that would agree to inject the chip into his hand.

Now on to Paris. .

Andreas arrived at the Stockholm airport, checked in, and then proceeded to security.

Although the airline was in on it (they facilitated encryption of his frequent flier number on the chip, after all) security guards at the airport were not.  And as Andreas approached the crowded security queues, the posted guard-- before  scanning, or even seeing Andreas' passport or any other credentials, received  confirmation from her scanner to let Andreas through.

The news report describes her as being "confused". I'm thinking that is putting it mildly. .

Essentially Andreas himself (more specifically the microchip embedded in his hand,), verified his own identity.

Bottom line:  Andreas breezed through security with just a wave of that hand.

The technology isn't new-if you open doors with a security badge at work, or swipe your credit card at the grocery, you're using a form of it every day. But Sjostrom is the first human to have his credentials permanently attached to his future corpse by said technology.

Sjostrom, who wrote an essay at the age of 13 describing "writing code that helps people"  as the most satisfying thing in life, said he turned himself into a guinea pig because he just wanted to know if the embedded microchip would work in an airport setting. And as a really frazzled, really frequent flier, Andreas described the success of his experiment like this:

It's not battery powered so it can't run out of batteries. I can't lose it, it is awakened by the scanner when I get close to it.  "I am actually carrying the right to travel. You could strip me of everything and the system will let me in anyway."

Today's airport setting implied.

And as somebody who is routinely challenged by the material world (losing my keys and my cards on a daily basis), this sounds, on the surface of it, pretty attractive.

I saw a folksy sign for sale in Cracker Barrel yesterday that pictured a person holding a lariat that said "I'm so scattered I don't know if a found a rope or lost a horse".

I laughed real hard because that totally describes me.

But as good students of the Bible (and, specifically, of prophecy) are you thinking what I am thinking?

In a wider context, the system could also keep you out:

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those[e] who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or[f] the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13: 11-17 NKJV

Sjostrom acknowledges that there are concerns with this with microchipping humanity, including possible misuse, but explains that it's only through the use of the technology that the problems will be revealed.

As for problems, I've seen enough political thrillers to recognize one right off the bat;  Heads and hands can be cut off and used by people who don't really own them.

Eventually, the technology would have to focus on analyzing DNA.  And that, ostensibly, would make the microchips, the "mark" obsolete.

Which, could only mean one thing: :

Soon and very soon.

Sjostrom, by the way, bought his microchip from a Seattle-based company called Dangerous Things.

I've said it before. You just can't make this stuff up.

"THE MAIL ON SUNDAY" WITH AN UNHOLY ROW OVER A CHURCH PLAY WHICH PORTRAYS JESUS AS A TRANSGENDER WOMAN WHO REFERS TO GOD AS "MUM"!!!

Unholy row over church's play which portrays Jesus as a transgender woman who refers to God as 'Mum'

  • Play portraying Jesus as a transgender woman to be performed in a church
  • It is much to the fury of critics who say the play is deeply offensive
  • Bishop of Manchester, David Walker, will not block the staging of The Gospel According To Jesus, Queen Of Heaven, by Jo Clifford
A play that portrays Jesus as a transgender woman who refers to God as 'Mum' is to be performed in a Church of England church today.
To the fury of critics who say the play is deeply offensive, the Bishop of Manchester, David Walker, will not block the staging of The Gospel According To Jesus, Queen Of Heaven.
The one-woman play by Jo Clifford, an award-winning Scottish playwright who has herself changed gender, imagines Jesus returning to earth as a 'trans woman' and retelling the parables with a transsexual slant.

The one-woman play by Jo Clifford (pictured) imagines Jesus returning to earth as a 'trans woman' and retelling the parables with a transsexual slant
At one point, Ms Clifford, who plays Jesus, says: 'I love my Mum.
'I am the daughter of God and almost certainly the son also. My Mum said let there be light and I say I am the light…'
In another, she says: 'Our Mother who art on Earth, blessed is your name.' Against images of gay couples kissing, she continues: 'Give us this day our daily kisses, for yours is the Queendom…'
In the drama, to be staged at St Chrysostom's church in Manchester's Victoria Park as part of the city's Queer Contact festival, the prodigal son is thrown out by his father for wanting a sex change.
The former Bishop of Rochester, Michael Nazir-Ali, a leading traditionalist, said: 'It is quite clear from the Gospels that the identity of Jesus is male, his 'mum' is Mary and he always refers to God as 'Father', so to suggest otherwise is contrary to Christian teaching.
'In cases in which a play is to be staged in a church building, the bishop is perfectly entitled under Church law to direct the cleric in charge to ensure the content will be consistent with Christian teaching and not offensive to the public.
'If the bishop's directions are not followed, the matter becomes one of discipline.'

Another senior cleric, an expert in Church law, said: 'This play is wholly inappropriate for performance in a consecrated building. I am sure that many people will be looking to the Bishop of Manchester to take action, as he is required to do by Church law.' The Bishop of Worcester, John Inge, a member of the Church's doctrine committee, said he was 'surprised' the play was to be performed in a church. He added that the production sounded 'irreverent'.
Ms Clifford, who is a former professor of theatre, said she did not intend the play to be sacrilegious but to challenge prejudice.
Under Church law, clergy have to 'take care' that plays performed in churches are consistent with 'sound doctrine', and clergy who are in doubt should refer the matter to the bishop. The law adds that clergy should obey any 'general directions' the bishop might issue 'from time to time'.
A spokesman for the Manchester diocese said: 'We do not accept that a bishop may use the power to issue 'general directions' regarding the use of churches for performances from 'time to time' as providing sufficient legal basis for the prevention of a specific event.'

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has threatened to attack an ammonia storage facility in northern Israel, a move he said would pack the punch of a nuclear weapon, resulting in hundreds of thousands of fatalities!!

New post on Now The End Begins

Hezbollah Threatens To Hit Ammonia Storage Facility In Northern Israel

by Geoffrey Grider

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has threatened to attack an ammonia storage facility in northern Israel, a move he said would pack the punch of a nuclear weapon, resulting in hundreds of thousands of fatalities.

This would be exactly as a nuclear bomb, and we can say that Lebanon today has a nuclear bomb, seeing as any rocket that might hit these tanks is capable of creating a nuclear bomb effect,” Nasrallah said, according to a translation published in the Times of Israel.
Addressing his message to Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, Nasrallah said, according to quotes posted by Ynet, “It’s simple mathematics. A few missiles on a few ammonium plants equals the same amount of death as an atomic bomb.”
Israel’s military chief Eizenkot on Wednesday responded to Nasrallah’s threat, acknowledging that among the groups surrounding Israel, Hezbollah has developed the most significant military abilities, including developing the means to hit Tel Aviv in central Israel.
Though it is a formidable adversary, Eizenkot noted that the Lebanon border has been Israel’s quietest for the past 10 years since the 2006 conflict known as the Second Lebanon War.
Ynet reported that following the 2006 conflict, the municipality of Haifa — where the ammonia facility sits — ordered a study, which concluded that in the event the plant were to be hit, it would release a 10-mile diameter cloud, an area that would cover both Haifa and Acre, a city 10 miles north along the Mediterranean coast. Both cities are home to Jewish and Arab residents. source

THE HIGHLY RESPECTED ECONOMIST AND FINANCIAL EXPERT WILFRED HAHN, ON BEHALF OF "RAPTURE READY" WRITES HERE ON "WHY THE RAPTURE IS NO NEW DELIRIUM"!!

Why the Rapture Is No New Delirium - By Wilfred Hahn -http://www.raptureready.com/featured/hahn/h141.html
Whenever I mention that my ministry is pre-Millennial, pre-Tribulational, and absurdities of all absurdities-believe in the doctrine of the Rapture, I receive responses. For several reasons, my ministry generally has not entangled ourselves in this issue. But, apparently, according to the responses we receive, to believe that a Rapture will occur brands one as "low brow," "gullible" and "escapist."
If anything, it seems that a spirit of derisiveness as well as smugness is becoming more prevalent. Nevertheless, over the years we have observed that the "No-Rapture" proponents apparently feel unsettled with Rapture-believers. We receive letters from supposedly well-meaning people who would like to convert us; some even want to "deliver" us to a post- or mid-tribulation perspective.
Interestingly, most of these respondents will agree that any differences in our perspectives are nothing over which to lose fellowship, as long as both parties are pre-millennial. Yet, for some reason, they still want to disprove the Rapture view, though it is not a "salvation issue."
Conversely, those who hold the Rapture view do not feel it an imperative to expunge the world of Rapture naysayers. As mentioned, it is not a salvation issue. The Rapture believer knows that the non-Rapture-believing Christian is given salvation through grace as anyone else, and moreover, will be taken up in the Rapture even while they remain doubters.
So why "proselytize" them to the Rapture view, other than to gain the blessing of a full biblical alignment of one's views?
While not every variant of doctrine threatens one's salvation, every deviation from Biblical truth does have its price.
We wonder why there is such an opposition to the Rapture view. Just what spirit - or irritation - is behind these attacks? The range of counter arguments and viewpoints range from the thoughtful to pure vitriol.
It would be fine to debate the Rapture doctrine based upon Biblical exegesis. However, increasingly it seems that Rapture-deniers resort to mostly unfounded and unbalanced allegations. They have not come to their opinion by way of "scholarly" study, but rather shallow anti-Rapture propaganda.
Recently, a friend (with an evangelical background and who was raised with the Rapture expectation) rather suddenly changed his mind, announcing to me that he no longer believes in the Rapture. I was curious what was behind this "conversion."
Apparently, he had swallowed the argument that it was a "new" doctrine, supposedly popularized by a delusional young woman named Margaret MacDonald in the 1800s. This couldn't be further from the truth in many respects. To fall for such a shallow falsehood is to ignore Scripture and the full history of the Christian church.
This writer may be amongst the least credible apologists to present a case for the Rapture; however, I have certainly consulted and read many solid "dispensationalist" books and arguments supporting this view. As such, we supplement our brief response here by borrowing from pedigreed scholars. Anyone expounding on the Rapture, pro or con, should decide for themselves on the following four points.
1. Back to the Source - First, we must begin with the document that is claimed to be all sufficient for teaching, rebuking and admonishing (2 Timothy 3:16). Its truth towers far above that of all other documents in the world. The Rapture doctrine finds its source in Scripture. Nowhere else. Not only is it spoken of specifically, it is also foreshadowed and deductive, based on the character of God himself.
The doctrine of the Rapture must stand on the Bible "full stop." The view of any church father, Pope, or entranced young girl cannot add any credence nor pedigree to what Scripture has said. As it is, a so-called church father can be found and quoted to support almost any theological view. We may have our favorites, but quoting them adds nothing proof-worthy to this main point - the Rapture is a scriptural doctrine.
2. Context: The History of the Church -  Rapture  doubters often claim that a teaching cannot be true because it is alleged to be "new" ... i.e. perhaps something popularized over the last several centuries. This argument is not valid for a number of reasons. For one, it ignores church history; and second, it ignores the very warnings of the Bible. Early on-more than 2,000 years ago-Christians were already warned about false doctrines and that deceivers would creep in unawares. This was clearly an issue already during the time of the apostles. (See 2 Timothy 3:8, 4:3; 2 Peter 2:1-3.)
Once the Apostles had passed on, the dilution of the gospel happened rapidly. Over the course of a few centuries, many false doctrines (driven by an "anti-christ spirit") became embedded in various teachings. The pagan-infused empire of the Holy Roman Church eventually became a full-fledged apostate religious system. As the 1,000 pound religious and state-sponsored gorilla, it oppressed any and all that would differ with its doctrines or disrespect its authority.
Once Constantine (the 4th century Roman emperor) adopted Christianity as the state religion, the Roman Catholic Church eventually became a regal earthly power, abrogating to itself even sovereignty and the role of the vicarious presence of Christ upon earth. Fallaciously claiming that Apostle Peter was its founder, it nevertheless chose to not heed even one statement of Peter's found in the Bible.
Throughout the centuries of Roman Catholic dominance (the Dark Ages) no contrary opinion upon any matter was allowed other than that of the ostensibly infallible Popes (no matter how despicable and ungodly some of them may have been.) Those believers and preachers who stood up for Biblical truth were jailed, tortured and murdered.
The Roman Church's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith was feared. Those with biblical views that were contrary to the "revelations" and pronouncements of the Roman Catholic Magisterium had to flee for their lives, living in obscurity or hiding. To be branded a heretic was a dangerous thing, punishable by incarceration or torture even in Protestant circles.
Is it any wonder that so little of the biblical doctrines and views of the New Testament Church survived through the Middle Ages? Instead, many biblical doctrines were obliterated and suppressed. Those who attempted to revive or restore them (often viewing the "Holy Roman Church" as the whore of Revelation 17) were persecuted. Relatively few writings or records survive of the Church outside of the Holy Roman church anywhere from the period of the 6th to 16th centuries.
History records that millions of Ana-Baptists and other groups (Protestants of various sects - Waldensians, Huguenots, claimed heretics such as the Albigenses, etc.) were slaughtered under the edict of the Popes (and countless Jews were annihilated as well). These are documentable facts.
Only later, as the Middle Ages ended, England repudiated the rule of the Popes, the Reformation occurred, and Luther, Wycliffe and Tyndale opened the Bible to the public did Biblical teachings again see the light of day and could be recorded and published.
However, crucially, these were not "new" teachings. Rather they were largely restored teachings that were based on Scripture. Amongst these was the doctrine of the Rapture.
3. Solid Scholarship and Proofs -  Today, we have the benefit of much scholarship on the origins of Christian doctrines. Amongst this record are the teachings of various preachers and theologians of the 16th to 19th centuries (outside of the Roman Catholic church) which have been found and uncovered. Plain to see in these records is the dominance of pre-millennial interpretations of the Bible.
Moreover, there is much proof of the Rapture being taught once the systematic oppression of Christians (or those with merely opposing scriptural views) starting being gradually lifted. The Rapture view was held by some clergy centuries before the alleged "trance revelations" of Margaret MacDonald. The promotion of this "trance" allegation is a "hatchet job" as far as scholarly evidence is concerned.
Today, we can say with confidence that the trance allegations of the "anti-Rapture" crowd have been thoroughly debunked and invalidated based on scholarship. We can recommend sound scholarly works proving the views expressed here. A recent "light bearer" work is the book titled Dispensationalism   Before Darby by Dr. William C. Watson (published by Lampion Press). This book is full of quotes of the dispensationalist perspectives of many pastors, theologians and churchmen from the 16th to 19th centuries.
4. Logic and Apologetics -  There are many excellent books available on the doctrine of the Rapture. As such, as already mentioned, we can hardly do credit to this body of work ... especially so in such a short article. Students of the entire Bible (Old and New Testaments) can sense in their spirit God's divine plan behind the Rapture.
It is in alignment with the entirety of the Bible. God always called out and preserved the believing remnant before he unleashed His wrath (the family of Noah, Lot). Why then, would the Church (what He calls His Bride) be allowed to be utterly slaughtered under the justice of his wrath.
Indeed, God disciplines and reproves those whom He loves. As Peter says, "For it is time for judgment to begin with God's household" (1 Peter 4:17). But, he also says in this same passage: "[...] if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?". The treatment of the Church and those who "do not obey" are not one and the same.
We have recently completed a 5-part series called Anxiety Merchants and False Prophets [the first part of which will be published in the February issue of the Midnight Call. You can read it at this   link when it is published.] In these articles, we present the point that ALL Christians will be killed in the Tribulation Period.
None who refuse to take the mark and worship the beast (Revelation 20:4) will survive. Contrary to the Bible, if one presumes that Christians will not be "[...] caught up together [...] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air [...]" (1 Thessalonians 4:17) then what "blessed hope" is there (Titus 2:13)?
To the contrary, says Jesus Christ to the Philadelphian church, "I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth" (Revelation 3:10).
This writer sometimes struggles with the concept of grace. As such, the Partial Rapture Theory can appear logical. Why? It naturally just doesn't seem just that Jesus Christ would rapture all Christians though hardly any of them could be as worthy as perhaps Elijah and Enoch of the Old Testament who were also raptured. But, if the Lord saves us "while we are yet in sin" (Romans 5:8) through grace, then the Rapture is equally likely and equally undeserved for last-day Christians.
In conclusion, today, the attacks against the Rapture (excepting on the basis of scriptural evidence) can be ignored. Most arguments are fallacious ... and sometimes mendacious. ALL last-day Christians are both saved and raptured by grace!
